Harris and Michael Cuddyer were the only Twins with more than one hit, but only Carlos Gomez went hitless. Everyone else had at least one hit.

But the real story of this series is that the Twins offense finally woke up, including Michael Cuddyer, who had been in a slump. Cuddyer was two for two with a double, a triple, two runs and two RBIs to lift his average to .251. Jason Kubel was two for four with two runs and an RBI, and raised his average to .263.

And after a game when both Michael Cuddyer and Delmon Young had strong games, both went hitless. The team doesn't seem to have much power, especially if Cuddyer and Young can't hit it out. And Jason Kubel needs to hit a lot better than .236. We loved that slam you hit a while back, but what have you done for us latel?

What if Joe Mauer started to hit with power?
What if Michael Cuddyer got hot?
What if the Twins overcome the hex the Yankees have had over them?

Start in the outfield. Michael Cuddyer is a proven performer and a plus player offensively and defensively. In center, Carlos Gomez is a question mark with the potential to be a plus player. Delmon Young is also new to the Twins, but his one year in the majors established him as a better than average player, and in Spring Training his arm and accuracy looked to be as good as anybody's, and better than most. The outfield, then, shows two pluses and a question mark.

*With Delmont Young in left and Michael Cuddyer in right, the Twins may have the best throwing outfield that Twims fans have seen in years. Cuddyer didn't polay Sunday, but in the second inning Young fielded a hard-hit ball down the left field line and came up throwing. His no bounce, on a rope throw to second base held the hitter to a single and was a thing of beauty.
