Did it all hinge on one play -- Torii Hunter's misplay in center field, ruled a triple, that put Nick Punto on third?
Was it the Twins' bullpen, which didn't have to put in someone as woeful as Justin Speier in? The Twins' bullpen was great, with Joe Nathan getting the save after strong stints by Matt Guerrier and Jessie Crain.

The bullpen had a great game, making up for a poor start by Kevin Slowey, who allowed six runs in three and two-thirds innings. The pen allowed no runs in seven and one-third innings. The winner was Matt Guerrier, who lost the second game in Fenway Park -- when the Twins were up three runs.

Second Base: Second base has so far been a shared position with Brendan Harris, Nick Punto and Alexis Casilla getting playtime. Nothing has happened that would change expectations that harris will start, Punto will be the utility infielder, and Casilla will start the season in the minors.
